Meeting at the airport. Driving to the Altai mountains, to the campsite Kamlak. Visit Gorno-Altaisk, registration in Department of Visa and Registration.
Moving to campsite Aak-Telingit. The campsite is located in Chu steppe at the high 1700 m. The road is very picturesque: through two mountain passes, among forests and mountain rivers. Russian sauna in the evening.
Hiking in Chu steppe (5-6 hours). Along the most beautiful mountains of Altai - Kurumdu, Ak-Tru, Kurkurek.
Rising to the mountain campsite Ak-Tru. Accommodation in a cottage near from mountain glacier Ak-Tru.
Walk to the Blue Lake. Few hours of motion along the path and you climb up the glacier Large Ak-Tru. Descent to the cottage.
Ascent to the pass Uchitel. Amazing views of the Kurai Ridge and Great Lakes of Chu steppe.
Descent to the campsite Aak-Telengit. Rest. Russian sauna in the evening.
Moving closer to the Mongolian border. On the road looking "telengits sanctuaries" - a place where indigenous people- Telengits, have committed rites. Camping in Saymogemskoy steppe. This place is amazingly beautiful and less-visited.
Trekking across the steppe. Meeting with local shepherds.
Climbing to the top Tabazhok 3200 km above sea level. No technical difficulties, but you need a good physical condition. Amazing view from the top: around are snowy mountains, green valleys and a lot of lakes.
Return to Kamlak. Russian saunain campsite, farewell bonfire.
Moving to Gorno-Altaisk. Excursion to the museum. Night train to Novosibirsk.
